We started building laser cutting machines in 2010 to improve our own production needs – Ten years later we are helping other companies do the same.
We began exploring laser cutting technology in a search for improved manufacturing processes in the abrasives industry. The reliability, customer service, and technology wasn’t available in the US market at the price point we needed. We have an innovative team and decided to build a machine that we knew would work in our industry.
Blue Dot Laser machines are designed to excel at “roll to roll” material processing. That means materials like industrial or ballistic textiles, plastics, gasket materials, papers, films and difficult materials like abrasive coated cloths and papers are easily and efficiently processed with our laser machines. Virtually any material (with the exception of metals) can be roll fed into our laser cutters to be cut or engraved.
Blue Dot Laser cutting machines utilize reliable CO2 laser cutting technology. Lasers emit light energy that vaporizes the material that is being either cut or engraved. This energy is focused through a lens that amplifies its power and refines the stream of energy to the thickness of a human hair. That’s about one thousandth of an inch in width. Any shape, or groups of shapes are easily cut by lasers.
Word of mouth spread and we found ourselves designing and building custom laser cutting machines for other businesses in the manufacturing industry. Over the past 10 years, we’ve honed the technology and mechanics of the ideal laser cutting machine for roll to roll methods. In addition, we continue to process in-house manufacturing jobs for those that aren’t quite ready to purchase a laser of their own – all while providing virtual and in-person customer service for our laser customers.
